The Best Dog-Friendly Cafes in Sydney
We asked some of our Sydney pet photographer friends where they enjoyed getting their daily or weekend caffeine fix that also welcomed their furry friend.
Below you’ll find their suggestions for the top picks for dog-friendly cafes across most of Sydney’s neighbourhoods.

Baffi & Mo, Redfern
Open since 2009 with tables that spill out onto the street, this popular joint gets pretty busy at weekends, but the food is always worth the wait and we are reliably informed that the coffee is always spot on.
Not a heap for the doggos to do, but dogs are usually happy just to be hanging out so it’s all good.
The street is pretty light on motor traffic but there are enough pedestrians and locals for good people watching and sniffs.
Naked Brew, Erskinville
When a cafe has it’s own doggie menu, and that menu has more options than the kid’s menu, you know you’re at the right place!
As good as the human menu sounds, the options on the doggie menu all sound pretty darn good.
When most dog-friendly cafe options extend to a Puppucino and a treat, Belgian waffles made with natural unsalted peanut butter, chicken stock and free range eggs really sets this place apart from the other cafes that welcome dogs in Sydney.
Not satisfied with their current extensive menu, a ‘Barkuterie’ board filled with ‘your pooches favourite crudites’ is coming soon!
Three Blue Ducks, Rosebery
Head on out to the leafy courtyard for some great food in a relaxed environment.
With Byron Bay vibes and some inventive but not wacky options on the human menu, we could eat every meal here for a week and still keep coming back for more!
Dog friends don’t have their own menu yet, but are very welcome in the courtyard and we’re sure that you won’t mind sharing a bit of your sausage if they behave well.
They also have their sister restaurant at the new URBNSRF surf park, located close to Tullamarine airport in Melbourne so our Melbourne pet photographers will be checking that out with their doggos soon.
Dachshund Coffee, Hunters Hill
Fat Poppy Coffee supply the beans to this appropriately named cafe and since opening in 2014 has grown in popularity, with weekends being especially busy.
With a strong leaning towards sustainability and whole foods, dog parents can be reassured that they’ll be eating well alongside their dog friends who get to choose between the puppacinos, Pawsitively Awesome treats or the homemade Doglato containing honey, coconut, mango, carrot & carob.
While offering breakfast favourites such as bacon, the team behind Dachshund coffee say

Porch & Parlour, North Bondi
Close to the beach and open from 6.30am daily, Porch and Parlour is a great casual spot for coffee with your early morning walk. If you visit later in the day you might be competing with the beautiful people and influencers for a seat!
While the cafe doesn’t have any menu items for dogs, the location and view is so great (with plenty of people and dog watching!) that your puppa will most likely be happy to just sit and chill while you get your caffeine fix or grab some lunch.
Harry’s Bar & Dining, Bondi
With kids and dogs warmly welcomed, Harry’s is a bustling and family friendly eatery with options for everyone, whether it’s an espresso on the way home from the surf or a special family dinner and drinks.
Hailing from humble beginnings in 1997 as just a hole in the wall coffee outlet, Harry’s is now part of the fabric of Bondi. When locals say ‘meet you at Harry’s’ you know they’ve become a landmark!
With a spacious interior, plenty of outdoor seating and a the super speedy take away coffee kiosk, Harry’s really does tick all the boxes.
A stones throw from the beach and like the nearby Porch & Parlour, there are plenty of people and dog watching opportunities on offer so you and your furry friend will both be kept entertained.
Petty Cash Cafe, Marrickville
A cute little corner location, Petty Cash Cafe in sunny Marrickville is a no ego, big heart kind of joint. And we love it!
While the owners never intended for the cafe to be a vegan and vegetarian mecca, it has undoubtedly become one! You don’t have to be a vego to love this place with the usual cafe fare on offer, but also heaps of other great food that will keep all foodies happy. Our personal favourite is the veggie tofu scramble – man, it’s SO good!
With plenty of street-side seating this little cafe feels really safe, calm and at home in it’s suburb. If I lived closer it would definitely be my Saturday morning go-t0 for brunch.
With a regular parade of passing dogs there are plenty of pooches to pet or admire in between mouthfuls of delicious, lovingly prepared food. Go!
