Look no further for knowledgeable and compassionate vets. My family have unfortunately had to use their services a few times for urgent pet health matters over the years and they provided exceptional care to both animal patients and their humans. Reasonably priced for their high standards of service too and they have great extended hours allowing appointments well beyond normal business hours. Even though I have moved out of the area, I still travel to take my dog here.

My very old fella passed away last Friday at Kingston vet. Didge marched in there so happily because he loved all the attention he always received there. His last visit was so lovely and peaceful for him and my son and I were so well supported. Thank you to all the amazing staff, I left there in tears but calm, knowing that he had the most peaceful passing. I really appreciate it!

Andrew Redmond has been our vet for 23 years. Two dogs, 4 cats and a rabbit have been cared for by the team. Andrew is wonderful and caring and professional. The nurse (a guy) is very caring and passionate about animals also. When I called late last year to let them know my beautiful Chow Chow has passed away, I received a signed card from the team offering me condolences. They go the extra mile.

Ralph and the nursing team offer an excellent option for specialist surgical options in the GP clinic setting. Their communication is excellent- they seem to always run ahead of time and they synchronise in well to the clinic day. Ralph provides excellent before and after surgery care and support to the clinic and his communications with the owner on the day of surgery are fabulous.

We frequently use Better Vet Referrals for orthopaedic procedures at our clinic. Ralph and Tracey are excellent and I cannot praise them enough. They not only have top-notch clinical skills but enviable bedside manner and bags of empathy for our mutual patients (and clients) as well. My dog Pippa recently required surgery due to a luxating patella (issues with her knee cap). After several opinions from vets and specialists, I chose Better Veterinary Referrals to perform the surgery at my nominated vet. Ralph and Tracey were extremely patient in taking the time explain the procedure so that I felt comfortable and understood everything. The surgery was completed as expected and Pippa’s recovery has been fantastic. I highly recommend the wonderful team at Better Veterinary Referrals, they are a highly skilled team and have a genuine passion for your pet.

I have been taking my two dogs to Ann for nearly 5 years and my last experience with her is why I’m leaving one star and have found an alternative vet.

My dog was healthy then ate we believe rat poison and declined quickly. After taking her to Ann there was little to no sense of urgency and she never even mentioned ratsak, she felt it was something more unusual. She was “too busy” to even properly check on my dog throughout the day in observation and told us so when we came back to collect her. She also told us that she didn’t think she even was taken out to the toilet that’s how busy they were, she was there for 7 hours. Less than 5 hours later she was dying.

Ended up at the AEC emergency vet to save her life. On the 24 hr after discharge consult with Ann we were met with an arrogant attitude from her. She became offended when we asked questions about what happened and what would be the next treatment. She didn’t even look over my dog when we came in and started to belittle the work of the emergency vets. We had to ask for a blood test! She didn’t even read the discharge notes and said “I skimmed them, it was quite large”.

You will always leave this clinic with more questions than answers and heaven forbid you have an emergency with your healthy pet.
I would not recommend this as an everyday vet now that there are no other vets at her practice the whole place has gone down hill. The clinic is dirty and the front reception staff are not experienced enough and always need to refer to Ann for anything.

She left the consult door open to get us out quickly and rudely announced that she had to go “because I have three VERY sick dogs to attend to” implying that my dog was not as sick and was wasting her time. We felt after trusting her with out dogs for years she would be more empathetic or proactive about what happened but said to us that she “wouldn’t hate us for going to another vet”.

Unfortunately no embellishments in this review. The quotes are word for word from Ann herself.

Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital is the best vets I’ve ever been to. The doctors are friendly, knowledgeable and good at explaining issues and options for treatment. They provide great behavioral advice and general advice for a pets well being. The receptionists and nurses are also second to none and create a really welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been going to them for roughly 5 years now and have seen several different doctors and all have been good. Even the passing of one of my pets was greatly eased by their considerate handling of such a difficult event. I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough.

The saddest day arrived on Monday when we had to make that awful decision to put our beautiful 11 year old terrier to sleep. As everyone knows as you’re reading this post it’s heartbreaking . With the covid situation as it is , some clinics won’t allow you in as a couple to say your final farewell , however, John and his wonderful team allowed my husband and I to be with Ted as he got his wings to fly while both cuddling him in the car with the sun shining outside. An experience that no pet owner wants to go through was made as best it could by this kind practice. Please chose these guys, you will never be disappointed by their level of expertise and compassion.

I called Greencross Vets Sandringham and was able to get seen asap. They were extremely helpful and accommodating when my girl Angel had an infection. They found the issue quickly and were able to find an efficient way to get my baby back to full health. After initially choosing not to book an appointment after not particularly liking the interaction with the receptionist, I ended up calling back to book in for a second opinion nearly a week later after my British Bulldog pup hadn’t gotten better from the the first vet, and the first vet had referred me to a specialist that was going to cost over $2k.
I dealt with Vet Amos who was fantastic. He had a good sense of what what was affecting my pup. And sure enough, after a steroid injection different antibiotics my pup was showing significant improvement within 24 hours.
So glad I decided to call back and go in. Definitely recommend.

Extremely knowledgeable!!
I can’t thank Melbourne Bulldog Clinic enough for their knowledge and expertise! After going to several vets with my Boston and no one being about to cure or diagnose my puppy, Celia from the Bulldog clinic was able to assess and pinpoint my Boston’s problem.

He was sent home with medication that’s working and we are extremely relieved he’s on the mend.

Honestly the best vets ever. I cannot recommend them enough!!They have always and are always amazing with our dogs and it’s very obvious that they care for the animal like it’s their own. My dog Benji was sick this morning and even though they were fully booked , they took him in and took the best care of him all day . The staff is so incredibly professional and caring !!

Our dog got a piece of bone lodged in her upper palate. Rushed down to the Black Rock Animal Hospital. Dr Juliet and her lovely team quickly fixed the issue, properly checked our pup and gave advice. Simon took the most beautiful photographs of our greyhounds, Dash and Crumpet. Crumpet is a bit nervous around new people, but she took to Simon straight away. He had a instant connection with them, and spent time to make sure the models were happy and comfortable. He caught the cheekiness of both of them perfectly.
