After an awful experience by another vet, I took my greyhound here and the service and care myself and my dog received blew me away!
I was seen my Raquel and she was simply amazing! She took the time to explain lots to me and the possible causes of my pooches troubles.
I cannot recommend Elwood Vet more, they were kind, empathetic and genuine. I even received a text message the next day just checking in to see how she was doing.
Raquel certainly helped calm this stressed lady and went out of her way to get to the bottom of the pain my pooch was in. Thank you, thank you!

Impeccable service from Elwood Vet. Our puppy Dallas had a bad case of doggy Gastro a couple of weeks ago. Deb was super caring and we were very impressed by the follow up calls every couple of days for the next week and a half to make sure she was ok. Highly recommended.

Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital is the best vets I’ve ever been to. The doctors are friendly, knowledgeable and good at explaining issues and options for treatment. They provide great behavioral advice and general advice for a pets well being. The receptionists and nurses are also second to none and create a really welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been going to them for roughly 5 years now and have seen several different doctors and all have been good. Even the passing of one of my pets was greatly eased by their considerate handling of such a difficult event. I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough.

The saddest day arrived on Monday when we had to make that awful decision to put our beautiful 11 year old terrier to sleep. As everyone knows as you’re reading this post it’s heartbreaking . With the covid situation as it is , some clinics won’t allow you in as a couple to say your final farewell , however, John and his wonderful team allowed my husband and I to be with Ted as he got his wings to fly while both cuddling him in the car with the sun shining outside. An experience that no pet owner wants to go through was made as best it could by this kind practice. Please chose these guys, you will never be disappointed by their level of expertise and compassion.

Caring for our dog for over 12.5 years and worth the 30min travel time to get there .
A huge thank you to all the wonderful team at NRVC for the exceptional care ,support and amazing professional service.
Special thanks to Dr Jenny as if it were not for her expert ,thorough and caring approach we wouldn’t have known about a degenerative heart condition .Due to the early diagnosis Dr Jenny prescribed medication that has slowed down the condition and enabled our treasured family dog a better and extended quality of life .

On a very sad day we were given the opportunity by this wonderful clinic to say our last Goodbye to our dear Savanna. With such care and compassion the vet allowed our entire family into the room, including furry ones, to be there as Savanna took her last breath. I held her head as she dropped off and family provided continuous pats. We were then given the space cry, laugh and remember our dear girl before we left her. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for allowing us this very important Goodbye!

Wonderful service, took our Dash in for her annual vaccination but we found out she wasn’t due for a couple of months (this was the first time we visited this clinic).
After updating us that Dash wasn’t yet due for her injections they gave her a few treats and trimmed her nails & didn’t charge us for the visit.
Good to know there is a Vet in our local neighbourhood that really cares about our pets as much as we do!

Zero care factor! Not even a phone call from Chris after my dog was euthanased at South Paws. Not the kind of customer service one deserves after 10years of custom. DISGRACEFUL!

Furthermore in response to Chris: The clinic was fully aware Lucy was euthanized at South Paws. Unused medication was returned & documentation l requested from you to be submitted to her pet insurance had to be amended because the birth & deceased date were incorrect, so one may ask how you were unaware? After years of attending this clinic, l am appauled at the customer service. Absolutely DISGRACEFUL!

They literally saved my dog’s life. He had an allergic reaction when I was walking him and I went in without an appointment just before they closed. They immediately looked after him and had him back to normal in an hour. They didn’t even charge me that much. They are the best vet I have ever been to and you can tell they genuinely care about animals. I can’t thank them enough.

I wouldn’t recommend this vet. They don’t care about your pets, only your money. I took my cats in for an ear infection and left with 1.2k bill. It didn’t even work. Took them to Brighton Vet who gave them new medication, only a few hundred in vet bills and great professional treatment

Last month I visited Green Cross as my 20 year cat was becoming incontinent all of sudden. They vet Isabel says to me oh his lost weight said yes and he is peeing all the time. Vet didn’t take a temp check or do anything just says he is elderly. If it gets too much bring him back and we can put him to sleep. I just accepted it… 5 minute consultation . … $97 .
I decided to seek a second opinion and discovered after I was listened to and they did tests. He has urinary tract infection and his incontinence will clear up. All it took time and tests and he is now going strong. Do not go to Green Cross in Ashburton all they want is to sell pet insurance, cat food…very poor.
They miss diagnosed my other cat for teeth removal and turned out she had tongue cancer, mind you she had been back there 3 times. The first thing they talk about her end of life and how much it would cost for to be cremated and to be put down. Even we took her to put to sleep they were still trying to sell us paw prints and cremation. When we had told them we were bury her at home. After she had passed they yet again asked us about cremation and paw prints. OMG I just wanted to our cat home. Month later we received a card of empathy. Never never ever go there they are there to sell sell sell and incompetent vets disgraceful.

I asked for a lump to be tested on my cat. When the results came in, the vet rang me and spoke extremely fast, explained nothing. All I got from the conversation is that he needed surgery, blood tests, abdominal scans, they have added a teeth scale and clean (because why not milk this woman for all she’s worth), the price of their hills pet food and that I should buy their pet membership (whats an extra $500?!).

I received an email follow up that still did not tell me what was wrong with my cat but was all about money, pushing their membership program and no sign of care for Merlin’s welfare.

When I prompted a more detailed response and for more of a caring approach, I was told VIA EMAIL that my cat has cancer. What type of person thinks it is okay to drop the cancer bomb via email and not bother to pick up the phone for a more detailed conversation?

Taking the results to another clinic, they confirmed Merlin does in fact have cancer but that it was more than manageable and that he would be okay. They answered all my questions, genuinely cared about the situation, told me I didnt need the teeth clean or abdominal scans, because they weren’t necessary – Funny enough.. $1000 cheaper and no sales pitch.

I highly recommend considering another vet.

My boy Rusty has been a happy patient at St Kilda vet for around 5 years now. Today he had surgery to remove a few nasty lumps by the lovely vet Kat which went really well and I am so thankful. All the staff at the clinic are just wonderful, you can tell they really care about the animals they are trusted to care for. I feel lucky to live close by and would never go to another vet.

Having been coming here two years since moving to the area and at first felt it was a bit of a lottery as to which vet you would see… however my latest experience was sensational, my old cavalier needed a teeth clean and the surgeon was very considerate and took extra care knowing her age and pre-existing heart disease. Thank you for looking after her so nicely, such lovely nurses too!

Fantastic vet! Didn’t talk us into unnecessary treatments and fees were reasonable. This small practice provided a much calmer environment for my csts than other vets.
